Madeline Neely,
Originally from Woodbridge, Virginia. She began her studies at the age
of
fourteen with
Louis Garcia and has worked with numerous teachers at music festivals such as the Brevard
Music Festival, Musicorda, Encore
School for Strings, National Orchestral Institute and the
Bowdoin International Music Festival. Prior to her affiliation with Lynn University, Ms.
Neely was Principal Viola
of
the Midland-Odessa Symphony and a member
of
Strings
of
the
West Quartet. While living in West Texas, she was also associated with the Abilene
Philharmonic and the
San Angelo Symphony. Other previous orchestral affiliations include
the Akron Symphony, the Erie Philharmonic, and the Youngstown Symphony. Presently,
she is Principal Viola
of
the Palm Beach Pops and a member
of
the Atlantic Classical
Orchestra, as well as a frequent addition to the Naples Philharmonic. Ms. Neely received her
Bachelor
of
Music degree from the Eastman School
of
Music and her Master
of
Music
degree from the Cleveland Institute
of
Music. Her previous teachers include John Graham,
Jeffrey Irvine and Mark Jackobs. Currently, she is a member
of
the Professional
Performance Certificate program at the Lynn University Conservatory
of
Music, studying
with Ralph Fielding.
